Laura Gant Eslick
Owner | Platinum Stylist
Laura graduated the Cosmetology program at Isothermal in 1998, and has been helping beautify the men and women of the Carolinas ever since! In 2001 she move to Charleston, SC and worked at Chovine Salon on East Bay Street in downtown Charleston. While working there, she learned from some great stylists, all while developing her own artistic niche. In 2005, after getting married, she and her husband, Donald, moved to Charlotte. There, she continued her career at Halo Salon in Lake Norman. In 2008, they decided to move back to her hometown of Shelby. Laura worked in Uptown Shelby for several years building her clientele and in 2011, Halcyon Salon was born. Laura’s vision for Halcyon is for it to be a place that is upscale without being intimidating. Where, “everyone is welcome and you leave feeling like the best version of you.”
Ed Jesse
Gold Stylist
Ed Comes to us from Pennsylvania. He has been a licensed Cosmetologist for 21 years, and loves doing everything from the latest color techniques, to mens cutting, to perms. We are honored to have him as part of the Halcyon family. Come experience this amazing stylist’s abilities!

Andrea Andrade Aguilera
Silver Stylist
Andrea moved here with her family from Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico when she was 9. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. From a very young age she knew that Cosmetology would be the path she would take, and is excited to be living out that dream. She is a graduate of West Lincoln High School with her associates degree in Cosmetology from Gaston College. She loves cutting hair and particularly enjoys special occasion styles, specialty braiding and finger waves.

Outside of the salon she enjoys spending time with her family, working out and going to the mountains. Come let Andrea pamper you and help you look your best!
Elainie Marie Conz
Silver Stylist
Elainie is originally from Cleveland County where she graduated from Shelby High School. She furthered her education at East Carolina University where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
She married in 2016 and moved with her husband to Okinawa, Japan where she lived and traveled for 3 years. She returned to Shelby to be near family and attended Cleveland Community College to pursue her passion in cosmetology.
Fun with a little edge, Elainie loves all things hair but her favorites are fashion colors, balayage and curly hair care!
Maegan Webb
Silver Stylist
Maegan is a native to Cleveland County. She graduated from Burns High School and then went on to further her education at Cleveland County Community College where she graduated from their Cosmetology program.
Maegan brings a sweet, calming presence to Halcyon. She enjoys men’s cuts, color techniques and hair extensions. In her spare time she enjoys attending church and spending time with her beautiful daughter!
